Where you’ll find us
Address: Velké náměstí 113, 397 01 Písek (in the courtyard – you can get to Sladovna through two passageways from Velké náměstí. Entry from the riverbank is not possible).
Parking:
Car park Na Výstavišti – Parking is always available, you can see the Sladovna building across the Otava river – go across the Stone Bridge and continue TO THE MAIN SQUARE (Velké náměstí). From the square go through the passageway to the Prácheň Museum and then to the courtyard of Sladovna. It is not possible to get to Sladovna from the riverbank, however, you can sit and have a coffee at Balzám Café next to the river.
It is often difficult to find parking in the Main square or elsewhere in the town centre.

Entry to our interactive exhibitions and programmes is only during pre-scheduled time blocks.
It is not possible to enter our interactive exhibitions and programmes without a prior reservation, as you may be used to in other museums and galleries. Due to the limited visitor capacity of our exhibitions and programmes, guests are invited to plan their visits at pre-scheduled time intervals. Our educators will guide you through a carefully curated experience. So, please buy your tickets online before you head over. This will ensure that your spot is reserved, and you will avoid a wait and be able to enjoy your visit in peace and quiet.
Please respect the schedule of the time blocks and arrive on time. Arriving late will disrupt the experience for other visitors. We thank you for your understanding.

Buy your tickets in advance
This recommendation applies to every visit to Sladovna. And it is 100% valid if you are planning to visit us on a weekend, a public holiday, or during the holidays - tickets to exhibitions and programs are often sold out and you often cannot buy them on site. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO MOVE FREELY FROM ONE EXHIBITION/PROGRAM TO ANOTHER.
Buy the tickets for everyone
Buy your tickets online in advance. BUY TICKETS for all members of your group, including CHILDREN WHO HAVE FREE ADMISSION (to Pilařiště up to 1 year, to other exhibitions and programmes up to 3 years). If you don't buy a ticket for them, we will be unable to reserve their spot and if the show/programme’s capacity is reached, it can be a problem – they just won't get in! This is especially the case for the Pilařiště and Anthill exhibitions. It isn’t necessary to print your tickets, just display the pdf of your ticket on your mobile phone to the reception desk staff.

We can cancel tickets up to 24 hours before your visit
We can cancel purchased tickets up to 24 hours before the start of the given exhibition/program. We will not refund the money, but we will issue a gift voucher for the next purchase - see Terms and Conditions. If you need to cancel purchased tickets, write to recepce@sladovna.cz and request a cancellation.

Basic admission to interactive exhibitions and programmes (children 3 years and up, students, adults, seniors): 120 CZK
Children under 3 years and disabled persons: free
Pilařiště: 100 CZK, children under 1 year: free
Animárium – Studio 1: 120 CZK / Animárium – Studio 2: 280 CZK
Small Gallery and Radek Pilař Exhibition: 50 CZK

We can only do this on the day of purchase. All you need to do is write to recepce@sladovna.cz on the same day you purchased the tickets and request a cancellation - see Terms and Conditions.

Adults are responsible for their children
Parents/grandparents/teachers/any caretakers accompanying the children are responsible for them in the gallery space.
Enter without shoes
Most of the exhibitions require that you remove your shoes prior to entering. You can take your own slippers with you, of course.

Parking
For your convenience, you can park at the Na Výstavišti car park – it is only a short walk to Sladovna via the Stone Bridge over the Otava River. It’s a scenic walk across the bridge! You can also park directly in the Main Square (Velké náměstí) – It's closer but finding a free parking space there can be quite challenging.
It is NOT possible to enter Sladovna from the riverbank
The entrance to Sladovna can be accessed only through the Main Square. Two passages (under the Town Hall to the Prácheň Museum or next to the San Marco pizzeria) lead to the Sladovna courtyard. If you approach the Sladovna building from the river, you could grab a bite or have a coffee in Balzám Café. However, our reception is reachable exclusively through the Main Square / Velké náměstí.
Cloakroom
The cloakroom in the Sladovna foyer is available to visitors free of charge. You can store your belongings freely or in lockers.
Where can I park my bike?
At the bike stand in the Sladovna courtyard or in the Main Square.
Where can I park my stroller?
You may take it with you to the exhibition halls. Please make arrangements at the reception counter when entering the gallery (for capacity reasons). Or, you can also leave it in the cloakroom on the ground floor.
Wheelchair access
Elevators offer barrier-free access to all exhibition halls.
School groups in exhibitions
During the school year, especially in the mornings, our exhibitions are often visited by groups of schoolchildren. Please allow for the possibility that a larger group of children may be present in the exhibition space with their teacher at these times.
Rest and refreshments
You can unpack your snacks in the Sladovna foyer, next to the cloakroom. There is also a coffee machine there. In the summer, you can take advantage of sitting in our courtyard or on the terrace, which are available for your use. We highly recommend checking out the restaurants, cafés and pastry shops in and around the city centre. There are plenty of them just a stone's throw away.
For dog owners
Unfortunately, for hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot allow your pets into the exhibitions. The only exceptions are assistance dogs.
