Radek Pilař’s Studio is a space for imagination and creativity, where you can explore the world through the eyes of a native of Písek, whose playfulness and ingenuity have long been a source of inspiration for Sladovna. Let's discover explore his creativity and his way of seeing the extraordinary in ordinary things – and try it out for ourselves: playing, creating, experimenting and discovering little joys and creative ideas that you can take back with you into your everyday life.

The studio has been created as a tribute to Radek Pilař on the occasion of the year when he would have been 95th years old.

The Radek Pilař Studio is not a traditional exhibition, but a creative environment where people learn to see the world through the eyes of an artist for whom imagination was a fundamental principle of life. Visitors can discover Pilař’s creativity and experience for themselves how to see the extraordinary in ordinary things – playing, experimenting and finding small joys that they can take back into their everyday lives.

The daughters of Radek Pilař, Barbora Komrzýová and Marina Pilařová, collaborated closely with Sladovaa on the project. Both shared personal memories of their father with the Sladovna team, which became the cornerstone of the entire concept. Curator Adam Langer, together with the team of gallery educators, has transformed these authentic fragments into a form that reflects key aspects of Pilař’s personality – his free-spirited nature, kindness and constant desire to discover new things.
